Lost in Sintra: Our Fairytale Visit
Our first stop was Sintra, a picturesque town located just outside of Lisbon. Sintra is known for its stunning palaces and gardens, including the famous Pena Palace.
We had the opportunity to explore the grounds and admire the architecture of the palace. The gardens were absolutely breathtaking, filled with colorful flowers and lush greenery. We highly recommend visiting Sintra if you’re ever in the area.
Riding the Waves: Leaving Nazare
Leaving Sintra, we headed to Nazare, a small fishing village on the west coast of Portugal. This town is known for having some of the biggest waves in the world and is a popular spot for surfers. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the waves crashing against the cliffs – it was truly a sight to behold.
Sipping and Savoring: Winery Night
After Nazare, we decided to spend a night at a winery high up in the rolling hills of Northern Portugal. We indulged in a wine tasting experience and learned about the history of the winery. It was fascinating to see the process of how wine is made and we couldn’t resist taking home a few bottles to enjoy later.
Ferry Tales: Journey Back to the UK
As our time in Portugal comes to an end, we’re now waiting for a ferry back to the UK. It’s been an incredible journey filled with beautiful scenery, delicious food, and unforgettable experiences.
We can’t wait to share more travel stories with you in the future. Next stop Portsmouth!
