Captain Cook Three Island Cruise
Setting sail on the Captain Cook Three Island Cruise, we embarked on a journey to explore the beauty of the Aegean Sea. With the sun shining and the crystal-clear waters glistening, we visited three stunning islands, each with its own unique charm. The friendly crew, delicious onboard food, and lively atmosphere made this an unforgettable day at sea.
Local Thermal Pools
Kos is famous for its natural thermal pools, and we couldn’t resist taking a dip. Nestled in a secluded cove, the warm, mineral-rich waters provided a rejuvenating experience, leaving us feeling relaxed and refreshed.
Although we have been to thermal pools before, these ones are very unique! The pool consists of a sheltered beach where boulders have been lined along the shore to create a tidal pool. Into this pool, the thermal waters from the nearby active volcano (one that sits 600m underwater) trickle out through the sand, reaching temperatures of up to 70oC!
Although the eggy smell made us a little uneasy, this was one of our favourite spots on the island.
Zia Sunset
The quaint village of Zia, perched high in the mountains, is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets. We ventured to this charming destination and found ourselves immersed in a vibrant atmosphere filled with lively shops and restaurants.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the sky transformed into a canvas of vivid colours, creating a truly magical moment we’ll never forget.
Kos Old Town
Our adventure continued as we wandered through the captivating streets of Kos Old Town. Steeped in history and brimming with culture, we discovered ancient ruins, bustling markets, and friendly locals. The town’s enchanting corners and hidden gems left a lasting impression on our hearts.
The Little Surprise: Wedding Venue Hunting
Throughout our journey, we secretly embarked on a mission to find the perfect wedding venue. As we explored the island, we discovered stunning locations that would make our special day truly magical. From beachfront settings to charming old town venues, our wedding planning adventure was as exciting as the rest of our trip!
