Happy weekend friends! We are back to share with you the rest of our Canada trip (and the rest of April with you) but first I need to know if you saw the northern lights last night?!

It seems to be like everyone and their gran saw them but us cause we made the tough decision to be sensible and go to bed early after a manic week and another manic one coming 🙃

If you’re not already, make sure you head over to our TikTok, Instagram or Facebook page to follow our stories and see what we get up to on a day to day basis.

Starting with Canada 🇨🇦

Anyway, back to Canada where we arrived into Banff absolutely buzzing for the next couple of weeks spent with one of our bestest friends Rachel, who moved over there 7 years ago.

We picked up our rental car at Calgary Airport which we would recommend if you’re visiting Banff. We rented through Discover Cars and the whole process was really straightforward.

We had loads planned for our time there, one of the main things being learning to ski. Now we had both done bits of skiing and snowboarding growing up but let me tell you when we got the kit on and stood on the slopes in Banff, we felt like Bambi on ice 😂

We rented our equipment through Ski Big3 and also got a lift pass for the 3 ski slopes in the area, Sunshine Village, Lake Louise and Banff. I have to say, after 3 days intensely skiing we did come on a long way and we had so much fun. I’ve shared my favourite falls in the video below and you’ll need to watch the YouTube video next weekend to see the rest!

We also took a trip up to Jasper National Park and honestly the Icefields parkway drive there might just be one of the most incredible roads we have ever driven!

Another highlight of our trip was going to the Wolfdog sanctuary, a safe space for wolf dogs who would otherwise not be here where we could learn and appreciate their species. A very special place that left us feeling grateful that there are wonderful people in the world who take the leap to make places like this possible.

Motorhome Upgrades

When we returned back to Scotland we didn’t have long before we headed north to our favourite retreat in the Cairngorms. On route there we stopped in at Perthshire Motorhomes who fitted our new Fiamma awning and storage box, I feel like we’re moving on up now in the motorhome world 😂

Hiking the Speyside Way

Have you heard of the Speyside Way?

A 100 mile route from Buckie in Moray to Newtonmore in the Cairngorms. We spent 2 days walking around 30km along the route from Aviemore to Kingussie and despite having all seasons in a day, we loved it! This is such an accessible and reasonably flat route perfect for walking or cycling.

Campervan Campout Festival

After a lovely few days of seeing next to no one, we were back in Ellie and heading south. We drove to the South of England showground where we would be speaking across 3 days at Campervan Campout. We spoke about touring the NC500, touring the Wild Atlantic Way and Building a Brand online. It was such a fun weekend catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. We always leave these shows feeling so inspired by everyone’s adventures.

Whilst we were south, we spent a few nights in London to spend my (Gemma’s) 30th, featuring heavily on Harry Potter events as we went to see the Cursed Child and went to the Harry Potter studios. It was a lovely few days of “us time”.

We drove Ellie back home and whilst she’s in the garage for the next week, we’re currently on our way to Manchester to fly out to Italy for a few days! Can’t wait to be back in one of our favourite countries 😁

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Catch up soon,

G&C x
