Moulin Huet is a beach located on the southern coast of Guernsey and is a rocky beach the reveals golden sand on one side at low tide.

In order to celebrate Renoir’s importance to Guernsey art, 5 metal frames were erected around Moulin Huet, allowing visitors to view the beach from the places where he would.

Why Should I go to Moulin Huet?
Moulin Huet is a very peaceful beach. Due to being more difficult to get to than other beaches in Guernsey, not as many people will flock here to soak up the rays.
With that being said, Moulin Huet is a really beautiful beach, overlooking the cliffs and the Peastacks.
The beach is separated into two sides, the left hand side of the beach is bigger and is where the sandy beach will be revealed when the tide goes out. The right hand side is more rocky and the sea is a lot less accessible unless you are prepared for a scramble.
When Should I go to Moulin Huet?
The best time to visit Moulin Huet is at low tide when the white sandy beach is revealed. When the tide is high, most of the beach is covered and only stones and rocks are on show at the top of the beach.
We also enjoyed visit Moulin Huet at sunrise. The views of the cliffs are even more breathtaking at sunrise as the golden glow shines on them as it rises.

The temperatures generally vary from 10 oC to 25 oC during these months, with a mixture between cold, northerly winds and warmer southerlies. There is a small amount of rain, with maybe 1 in 7 days receiving rainfall, which makes it perfect for days out exploring the beautiful island.

What is the Best Travel Insurance?
I know travel insurance is the least enjoyable thing to purchase and look at when you’re planning a trip, however, you wouldn’t want to be without it in the event that something happened. Accidents can happen anywhere and the extortionate medical bills will ruin your trip if you are not covered.
To ensure you have a stress-free trip with no worries about potential medical bills, make sure you cover yourself when you travel. We can recommend using SafetyWing, a backpacker-friendly and cheap insurance company that provides good coverage and support.
